If you search “website cost Calgary” you will see $1,999 templates and $20,000 agency minimums on the same page. Both can be true. They are not the same product.
The public price ranges
NerdySpider’s 2026 Calgary hiring guide puts professional service sites commonly at $8,000–$20,000, with mid-size shops often $100–$175/hour and $15,000+ minimums. Read the guide.
Saskwebs’ Calgary 2026 breakdown is wider: $3,000–$15,000 for a full business site, with many SMB projects at $4,000–$9,000. Pricing breakdown.
Edmonton local agencies often advertise $4,000–$7,000, with simple sites from about $1,500. Madina Digital’s 2026 guide. Template and custom shops in the same market still sell $1,999–$7,997 packages.
What those numbers usually leave out
- Service pages that name the city and the work in visible HTML, not only ads.
- LocalBusiness / Service schema a crawler can parse.
- A quote or booking path that works after 9 p.m.
- A /llms.txt and /services.json so an assistant is not guessing from a hero video.
- WCAG 2.2 AA as a release gate, not an overlay widget.
How we price
The free scan fetches your live URLs. The $299 audit tests how assistants describe you. A knowledge-layer retrofit is $1,500–$3,500 if the current site already works for people. A rebuild sits at $6,500–$12,500. Automation is $500–$1,500 a month after that.
Use the instant scope for a range you can take into a meeting. It will not invent a ChatGPT rank to justify the number.
Prices are CAD and assume a normal Alberta service business, not a national platform. If you need a custom system, say so on the contact form.
